Meliore Foundation builds a reliable finance backbone together with Rsult

When the Meliore Foundation was set up in 2023, the organisation had to stand on its own feet: legally, operationally, and financially. A global non-profit with a mission to address dis- and misinformation cannot afford shaky financial processes. Grants must be tracked accurately, donors expect transparency, and internal teams need reliable reporting to guide decision-making. “When we started our operations, we needed a cost-effective ERP system that could handle our accounting needs without overwhelming us with corporate-level complexity.”

“NetSuite suited our needs and people already knew how to use it.”

The choice for NetSuite came naturally. People within Meliore were familiar with the interface. “It felt like the right fit,” says Sidantha. “We wanted something reliable, flexible, and not too expensive. NetSuite ticked those boxes. It’s easy to navigate once you know it, and it adapts to our specific requirements.”
Today, NetSuite forms the core of the foundation’s financial structure. “I call it our motherboard,” Sidantha laughs. “Any new system we consider must integrate with it. If it doesn’t work with NetSuite, we’re not interested.”

A fast implementation under pressure

Meliore didn’t have the luxury of time. As part of the set-up, they needed a functioning ERP system within months. According to Robbie Cockburn, Rsult’s lead consultant on the project, this was one of the fastest non-profit implementations they had delivered. Robbie explains: “We had to start from scratch. The foundation needed rapid deployment, tight project management, and a setup that matched the complexity of grants, funding streams and reporting obligations. We delivered the system in three to four months. That speed is rare in ERP projects.”

After initially selecting another NetSuite partner, Meliore switched to Rsult within a month. Robbie recalls: “They came to us and said, ‘We need this done properly and quickly.’ And that’s what we delivered. Now everything is where it should be: inside NetSuite.”

Sidantha joined the organisation in July 2024 and immediately strengthened the finance team. “Before I arrived, people were using NetSuite but didn’t always have the time or structure to get the best out of it. With a CFO joining earlier that year and me coming in, the finance function finally had space to grow.”

NetSuite is now used daily for accounting, reporting and financial oversight. “Our monthly accounting, journal postings, funding tracking; everything runs through NetSuite,” says Sidantha. “We run expense reports, vendor reports, funding reports, year-to-date income overviews… These reports are essential for both internal management and external partners.” He continues: “Because we’re an NGO, we don’t create extremely complex corporate-style dashboards. But what we do need must be precise. Budget vs. forecast, actuals, grant allocations; NetSuite gives us all of that.”

Integrations that simplify the workload

One major reason Meliore selected NetSuite was the ability to integrate with other systems they rely on. “We work with Tipalti, SmartSimple and Yokoy,” Sidantha explains. “Integrating everything into NetSuite ensures we avoid manual work and mistakes. It makes our processes cleaner, faster and much more transparent.” He adds: “If a new tool can’t integrate with NetSuite, we simply won’t adopt it. That’s how central NetSuite is for us.”

Rsult: a proactive team

While NetSuite is the foundation’s financial backbone, Rsult is the team that helps keep everything running smoothly. “I joined the foundation and immediately felt how closely Rsult works with us,” says Sidantha. “We have weekly calls, and they’re always asking if we need help. Even when we haven’t given them new work yet. They’re proactive in the best possible way.” One of the biggest compliments Sidantha gives is the trust he feels: “I’m 100% happy with Rsult. Everything we’ve asked for: NetSuite could do it, and Rsult made it happen.”

Robbie shares a similar perspective from the implementation and support side: “Meliore is a unique organisation with grant-driven revenue flows. We designed the system so they can run the exact reports they need, at any moment. The collaboration has been open and positive from day one.”

NetSuite help making the right decisions

Sidantha emphasises that NetSuite has allowed the organisation to become more data-driven and efficient. “It helps us make the right decisions and provide the right answers at the right time. Whether we’re reporting to funders, preparing management presentations or analysing cost structures: NetSuite gives us the clarity to work efficiently.” And with Rsult as a partner, Meliore feels confident about the future. “There are so many more things NetSuite can do,” Sidantha says. “And we’re finally able to explore that. We want to automate more, reduce manual work, and have NetSuite produce even more of the reports we rely on. Whenever we have a new requirement, we check with Rsult first and so far, the answer has always been: yes, we can do that.”

Looking ahead: a stable foundation for growth

Over the past two years, the relationship between Meliore and Rsult has grown into a long-term partnership, covering implementation, optimisation and continuous support. “We never feel alone in this,” says Sidantha. “With Rsult, we have a team that understands our organisation, our challenges and our responsibilities. And with NetSuite, we have a system that grows with us. Together, that puts us in a powerful position for the future.”
